Two and a Half Men’s Angus T. Jones apologizes, his mom is worried about his religion, and Charlie Sheen wants to hire him

Apparently Angus T. Jones is sorry that he called the show that he’s on, Two and a Half Men, “filth.” Said show pays him about $8 million a year, and has been a formative development experience for him, but that didn’t stop him from p00ping all over it in an interview with a fringe religious group leader.

His apology doesn’t exactly take back the statement, but he definitely feels bad about offending everyone he’s worked with since he was a kid:

“I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear.

Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family.

Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.

I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.

I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”

Meanwhile, his mom, 42-year-old Carey Jones told The Daily Mail “I’m concerned he’s being exploited by the church.”

Among the Christopher Hudson-led church’s most controversial viewpoints included comparing Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and accusing Jay-Z, Rihanna, and other celebs of being a part of The Illuninati.

Even so, Hudson stands firm that Angus was thinking for himself when he made the statement about his show:

“I’ve only known Angus for a short period of time now, but the time that I got to spend with him in our conversation, the type of individual he is, this young man is very intelligent, pensive individual,” he tells us. “He is not the mirror of other men’s thoughts. He is one that can think and do for himself and that impressed me because I didn’t think I would see that in a young man in his position. Angus is speaking from his heart, his experience, his search and his understanding.”

Right now it doesn’t look like Angus is going anywhere, but his former co-star Charlie Sheen told him that he’s welcome to join <em>Anger Management if he needs to.

That show may be just as filthy, and probably pays a whole lot less.
