How much is Alana Thompson’s family making for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo?

TLC has a smash hit on their hands with the down home show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The exploits of Honey Boo Boo, Mamma June, Sugar Bear, Chubbs, Chickadee, Pumpkin and Glitzy have caught hold and TLC is capitalizing by filming additional episodes.

Anderson Cooper will be featuring the family on his 2nd season premiere episode alongside Beyoncé. The beautimous family from McIntyre, GA has inspired our own Redneckipedia and they’ve been highlighted in just about every major publication for TV and pop culture.

Last week’s episode garnered 2.992 million views and beat out any cable network’s coverage of the Republican National Convention. It was the top rated show on cable for the coveted viewership range of 18-45. In addition, it was also a big in-season jump promising that the ceiling could be very high for this series.

So how much is the family raking in from all of this success? Not much at all according to The Hollywood Reporter (from my experience a very reliable source).

The family of six (plus Glitzy the pig) are making somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000 an episode. That means a max of around $40,000 for the initial 10 episode premiere season plus a possible small “location fee” for filming at their house. In relative terms that ain’t much at all.

Update: TMZ got June on the horn and she laughed at this amount with the site saying she indicated they made a great deal more. No range of earnings was provided.

I hope June has a good rep or negotiator for a 2nd season because on scale they should be making way more than that y’all. TLC told THR that they don’t comment on salaries. They do sell ringtones through the official website however. 😉
