Amber Portwood’s jailhouse letter reveals fear and regret
A handwritten letter from imprisoned Teen Mom Amber Portwood to her brother Shawn reveals a young mother that’s afraid and hopeful of being able to change.
The letter was posted by TMZ and it’s pretty difficult to decipher but Amber explains why in the opening. She writes:
“My hand writing’s f***ed because the pens they give us bend so we can’t stab anyone with them. Lol. Wow!”
The letter penned last month revealed how lost and afraid Amber is and how overwhelmed she appears to be by the whole situation. She adds:
“I don’t think I’ll ever take this sh*t for granted. I’m really scared I’m going to prison … All I think about is Leah and how she needs a role model and if I can get out I can really show her what a good mother is!”
She adds, “I am a good person and I pray that I can change my life.”
Amber’s all-important upcoming probation violation court hearing is scheduled for January 27. She faces up to two years behind bars.
