July 4th falls on a Tuesday this year so most friends and families celebrated the patriotic holiday this past weekend, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were no exception. The famous couple spend some quality family time with their kids and their friend 2 Chainz and his family.
Kim K herself helped prepare the meal, and showed off her efforts in the kitchen on Snapchat. The menu was full of barbecue and soul food favorites like green beans, mac and cheese, rice, plantains, jerk chicken, jerk pork and oxtail. “My Jamaican nanny has taught me how to make all of this,” she said on the social media platform.
There were quite a few guests at the Sunday get together including Kim’s mom Kris, but 2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) was one of the guests who shared some nice snaps from the event on Intagram. One photo features 2 Chainz, wife Kesha Ward, their kids Halo, Heaven and Harmony sitting with the West-Kardashian clan.
In all the photos Kanye West is flashing a wide smile, a departure from his signature serious face look.
This isn’t the first time Kim K has showed off her cooking skills. She regularly invites guests over to her home for what she deems #SoulFoodSundays.
