Kodak Black arrested for clubbing, attending boxing match while on house arrest

Rapper Kodak Black is back behind bars once again after he reportedly violated the terms of his house arrest by clubbing in Miami and attending a boxing match in Ohio. In addition, Kodak was reportedly booted from his court-mandated anger management class last month.

An arrest warrant was issued for Kodak (real name Dieuson Octave) on February 23, and Mr. Octave was arrested on Tuesday during his court hearing in Broward County.

I assume this is a video of Kodak on his way to court:

Kodak also posted the photo at the top of this post just prior to his court appearance. He asked his followers to “caption this” so we obliged.

According to the arrest warrant, there is video evidence of Kodak at the Club Lexx strip club in Miami on February 1 and in attendance at the Adrien Broner boxing match in Cincinnati on February 18. The warrant also reveals that Kodak was “unsuccessfully discharged” from his anger management program on Valentine’s Day. It does not state why he was discharged.

As far as what got Kodak placed on house arrest, here is a brief summary from the Sun Sentinel:

Octave was arrested in October 2015 in Pompano Beach, accused of forcing several people into a car after he suspected someone of breaking into his house. Released on bond, he was then arrested in April in Hallandale Beach in connection with a suspected drug deal.

Both arrests were rolled into one case in a hearing Aug. 16. In a plea deal, Octave pleaded no contest to charges including robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Kodak faced up to 55 years in prison on the charges, but his attorneys arranged a sweet plea deal that got him one year of house arrest and five years of probation.

Kodak’s legal team got very little rest, however, as their client was arrested for misdemeanor pot possession in St. Lucie, Florida last year. Kodak went straight out of the frying pan and into the fryer after being released from St. Lucie County Jail in November 2016 because he was wanted in South Carolina for an alleged sexual assault of a woman at a hotel after his show in Florence on February 6.

Kodak posted $100,000 bond and was back home in Florida in December.

Atlantic Records has since issued this statement about Kodak’s most recent arrest:

We are sorry to hear about the recent circumstances surrounding Kodak Black. His lawyers are working diligently on this matter and are hopeful that this will be resolved by next week. The remainder of Kodak Black’s “Back and Better” Tour has been postponed. Details on rescheduled tour dates forthcoming.
