PHOTOS Pregnant lingerie model Sarah Stage’s baby bump at 8 1/2 months is a bit mind boggling

Lingerie model Sarah Stage pregnancy photos

Lingerie model Sarah Stage is currently 8 1/2 months pregnant and the 30-year-old has been sharing baby bump photos with her fans on Instagram that would seem to indicate the father of the baby is either Papa Smurf or a leprechaun!

Sarah posted the photo of her barely noticeable baby bump above on Friday and wrote, “Eek officially 81/2 months… And he’s now 5lbs #34weeks” 34 weeks?!? I agree with one of the many astonished commenters who simply wrote, “my belly after a burger.”

UPDATE – Click here to see more up-to-date photos of Sarah’s svelte baby bump, all the way up to nine months!

Sarah is a bit of a fitness fanatic and reportedly a healthy eater, but she does sandwich her Instagram name between two hamburger emoji and there is at least one decadent In-N-Out lunch photo in her stream from just two months ago:

As I mentioned above, Sarah has been documenting her pregnancy all along, and the photos say way more than I ever could. So, here are some of her baby bump pics from the last couple months arranged chronologically beginning with the most recent:

Is this even possible? Ugh, I look further along than her and I’m not even pregnant! She looks fabulous though, good for her for staying in such great shape.

    • Kail

Yes, if you take care of yourself during pregnancy.

  • tanya

I wouldnt believe it, but i had a friend who was the same way. Posted a pick like 2 days before she gave birth, and you cant even tell shes pregnant. I dont think thats very healthy for the baby. Im not saying you should pig out, but c’mon. Its ok to gain a few pounds. You’re growing a human being inside of you for goodness sakes!!!!

    • Kail

I have 3 kids and only gained between 3-6.lbs for each. During pregnant you only need an extra 150-250.calories a day on top of your normal eating habbits. Overeating and gaining is very unhealthy and for 33lb 5.lbs is about normal for the baby. She looks great and it shows that she is actually taking care of her body.

      • Charla

Sorry, but gaining 3 to 6 lbs when pregnant is NOT healthy. Around 20 lbs is much more reasonable. Only people with eating disorders would advocate gaining a mere 3 lbs when pregnant.

        • Bec

It all depends how large you are to begin with. If you are large to begin with then it is not necessary to gain much at all

          • Charla

That’s true. But she’s not writing as if she’s morbidly obese. She’s writing saying she’s in shape, and if that’s the case, gaining only 3 lbs is unhealthy. Giselle, Heidi Klum, and more have gained sufficient weight and were back to their nice figures in reasonable times.

            • awoman

Exactly this. Only overweight women are told to not gain much and they are still told to gain about 15 pounds.

After giving birth, you lose a ton of weight, not just from the baby, but the placenta, the amniotic fluid, the extra blood, and over the next week, you lose the extra water you were carrying around in your body.

This adds up to about 30 pounds.

Get it? If she’s gained 3 pounds, that means she’s lost about 27. Probably less since she clearly doesn’t have the water weight, but this woman has LOST weight while pregnant.

This is why they suggest even overweight women gain weight. Because in the end, they will LOSE weight after having the baby if they have only gained 15. It actually takes CRAZY healthy habits to only gain 15 as an overweight woman.

This woman is not doing something healthy here. She’s starving her baby by not feeding herself enough.

              • Kail

                Read what wrote above…..

              • Kail

After I had the baby I had only gained 2-6.lbs…I bounced right back. It’s called eating whole foods, not processed and I ate about 200 calories over my usuall intake

                • awoman

Hi. I ate nothing but whole foods and didn’t gain any weight. BUT I gained “30” pounds. Water, placenta, baby, blood. Got it?

            • Kail

After pregnancy….After you have the baby, there’s no reason to have gained

              • Charla

The average person is going to gain more than 10 lbs. People who gain less are in the minority. It’s not unhealthy to gain pregnant weight and ppl shouldn’t be fat-shamed for doing so. I gained 25 during my pregnancies and lost it all within a month or two from breastfeeding.

                • Kail

Odd that you’re arguing about this. You should eating whole foods, not processed foods and should add another 150-250.calories a day on top of your usuall intake. That’s fact. If you dfollow these guidelines, by the end of your pregnancy, you shouldn’t have gained a ton of weight.

This isn’t an argument, it’s fact. If you only gained 10 lbs and lost it within a month, that isn’t fat -please educate yourself….

                  • Charla

You have no idea what I ate or what I did. I did crossfit throughout my entire pregnancy and I eat a paleo diet. I’m very educated on fitness and nutrition. Don’t confuse your eating disorder with being educated on nutrition.

                    • Kail

Eating disorder? No…I practice flexible eating..I lift and just competed in the Arnold the past few days. I’m familiar with this model because she also lifts and at one point competed. I never posted what I gained during pregnancy. I stated I only gained 3-6.lbs after pregnancy. You are defensive for no reason….all you want to do is argue. Ps…I lifted throughout my entire pregnancy….something most woman would t be able to do.

            • Bec

Oh yes I definitely agree that a smaller woman might need to gain around 15 lbs, it all depends on the build of the woman though!

              • awoman

You’ve got this completely wrong. Look it up.
I’m 5’2″ and was 125 pounds and still needed to gain 25 for a healthy pregnancy.

They only tell overweight people to gain that little.

                • Bec

Sorry, I was speaking for myself, a 5’7 120lb girl. I only needed to gain 15 lbs because I have a longer torso and therefore more room for a baby. But yes you are correct 25lbs sounds like a healthy weight gain for a pregnancy, everyone carries their babies differently!

        • Kail

After pregnancy…not during…once baby was out I had only gained 3-6 lbs

          • Pokahontas McGuigan

to be fair that wasnt clear

            • Kail

              You are correct..I didn’t specify.

        • pinksock

Actually you barely need to gain any thing. I was about 10kg over weight during my last pregnancy, lost 5 during, and after she was born the last 5 was all her and was gone within a week. Got down to my healthy weight while pregnant! Oh and all my children were over 8lbs and my doctors were very pleased with me.
You need to gain just enough to cover the weight of the actual child, placenta and extra blood volume. You don’t “need” even a gram more. Adequate nutrition is more important that quantity of food.
Notice she mentions several times the weight of the baby. Its over 5lbs at 34 weeks. The baby is fine.
You’re just mad she has great abs that are holding bub in.

          • Charla

Good for you? Lol I’m not mad. I gained when I was pregnant, and as I said, lost it all within one or two months. I have great abs and legs, a fabulous butt, and can currently deadlift 220#. I’m not hating on twigs.

    • A.C.C

I think she looks great! As long as she’s eating enough and doing
pregnancy safe workouts for her growing baby/body it doesn’t matter!
Telling people that they don’t look healthy during pregnancy because
they are not huge is just as bad as calling someone a cow because they
      carry larger.

I would know, I heard it all the time. I wasn’t as fit as her but I carried smaller, I gained 20-25 pounds by birth.

  • liz

wow i didn’t even look like that before i got pregnant

  • GingerAnn1212

I wonder how tall she is. She looks like she has lots of room for baby to stretch out length wise. If baby is around 5 lbs at 34 weeks sounds like he is right on track. She looks great.

  • Bec

    I’m jealous she looks fantastic!!!

    • JD

      She does look fantastic!

  • Cara

She’s probably tall with a long torso and had great abs before she got pregnant. I knew a girl who barely looked pregnant the day she gave birth and was back in size two jeans like three weeks after birth. It’s all about genetics and how in shape you were pre-pregnancy.

  • Dani

I’ve never seen a more fit pregnant woman, she looks good-she looks toned and healthy. I don’t mean this next part negatively, but she most likely still has four to eight weeks left and one can get really big really fast the last few weeks of pregnancy.

  • cookie

I might sound crazy and I’m sure I’m going to get sh!t for saying this, but when I’m pregnant, I want to enjoy my big ol’ baby belly. Not saying that I want to gain weight, but I at least want there to be something when I turn sideways, especially at 8 months! To each their own, she looks fabulous, but I kind of feel bad for her too.

    • jc23

I get what you mean. I didn’t start showing until just after 7 months and I hated that no one could tell lol

  • Andrew Chunis

    She still looks fabulous

  • guest

She needs to cover up. Her body has a lot of fat where its obvious she has gained. That bathing suit is squeezing the mess out of her baby and body.

  • Emma

I will be the odd one out but I would hate to look that way while pregnant. Where’s the big beautiful baby belly? But if she is happy that’s good for her. And I understand she is a model but looking back at her photos of her pregnancy she doesn’t want any of them to be with clothes on? Not just half maybe?! I think women of all sizes and shapes wouldn’t be die if they practice a little modesty and class.

    • guest

I bet she looks great with clothes on!

    • jc23

She has some with clothes on they just picked the ones that best displayed her belly

  • TA

her body is one thing, but what has she done to her face??

  • Kendra Johnson

I was like her when I was about 5 mos. I’m 6′ tall and I thought something was wrong with me. They told me that I had a long torso so I wasn’t going to show like most women. I only gained 20 lbs during my pregnancy and I just walked my whole pregnancy. If she’s doing all that working out, that looks about right to me. There was a young woman on I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant that was like that and she truly didn’t know she was pregnant until she had her daughter. She was just very active and never showed.
