Sadie Robertson says being a Christian ‘doesn’t make it any easier for me’ to save sex for marriage

It’s not a surprising to hear someone from the Roberston clan discussing their conservative, biblical beliefs when it comes to love and marriage. It is, however, surprising to hear 17-year-old Sadie admit she struggles just like everyone else.

The Dancing with the Stars front-runner admitted to Us Weekly that just because she’s a Christian, doesn’t mean the decision to save her virginity until marriage is easy.

“People are like, ‘It must be easy for you because you’re Christian.’ That doesn’t make it any easier for me.”

In fact, Sadie went on to say, “It’s something a couple really has to decide together.”

In order to help her stick to her convictions, Sadie says she only dates guys who share her outlook. “I don’t really date guys who don’t feel the same way. It’s going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that.”

Good thing her beau of 10 months, Blake Coward, is onboard. Not only are the love birds smitten with each other, Sadie says they were both “raised in the same kind of family” and even attend the same kind of church.

After her brother John Luke proposed to his girlfriend at 19 years old, some are wondering if baby sis Sadie will follow suit and get engaged at young age. Could Blake be the one?

“You never know who you’re going to end up with. Who knows if my boyfriend will be my husband?”

Sadie just posted a picture of the newest Us Weekly with the caption:

“Just picked up this weeks copy of Us weekly! So fun if you want to get to know me better go pick up a copy :-)”
