Seven years after her last album, Hilary Duff is back with a brand new song, Chasing the Sun. As the title implies — and the Colbie Caillat writing credits confirm — the tune is very light and bubbly.
In the accompanying video, Hilary plays an ordinary office worker who dreams of spending her days on the beach with a hot model. It is complete with animated postcards and geeky coworkers who interrupt her daydreams. Check it out…
My first impression is… Singing isn’t her strongest suit. I’ll refrain from make a complete judgment until her album is released with RCA Records later this year.
Until then I won’t complain about Hilary being mostly back in the spotlight because it creates an excuse to post pictures of one of my favorite celebrity spawn, Luca Comrie.
Hilary is also making an acting comeback with TV Land’s Younger, which features her as a young professional who befriends a 40-something new divorcée. The first season is set to premiere in the fall.
