Why Jennifer Aniston had to cut her hair

When Jennifer Aniston does something new with her hair, it’s a cause for national concern. Ever since The Rachel became such a phenomenon in the 90s we’ve been obsessed with her locks. It turns out she had to cut off her hair recently, but not for a role.

Jen trimmed her hair because it suffered damage from hair coloring and Brazilian blowout, a process involving formaldehyde that can keep the hair straight for month.

“It wasn’t for a role,” she told Elle. “My hair went through a phase – I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it … The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It’s a guarantee. I’m trying really hard to love this one.”

Other side effects of the Brazlian blowout are dizziness, headaches, hair loss, and even cancer.
