Britney Spears talks kids, her fiance, makeup, zits, and whether or not she’d let her kids try showbiz

Britney Spears appears on Lucky Magazine's December 2012 issue

In the latest issue Lucky Magazine Britney Spears talks about the people closest to her: her fiance Jason and her two children — and that’s not all. The wig-wearing pop star also talks about her beauty blunders and what it was like starring on The Mickey Mouse Club.

When fans see Britney on stage and during her gig on The X-Factor, she’s always wearing a stylish outfit with her make-up and hair done, but at home, it’s the complete opposite. ”I really just wear mascara all the time,” she says in the December issue of Lucky Magazine. “And powder, because I have zits.” It’s not all that surprising to hear about Brit’s skin troubles — especially after getting word of her unhealthy on-set habits.

As for her low-maintenance alter-ego, Brit’s fiance Jason Trawick, 40, is totally on board. “He says he doesn’t mind that I sit around in sweats all the time.”

Just like her style, her home-life is also quite simple. “I work out. I swim. I play with the kids, I cook and I garden. We play Connect Four. We play Candy Land. Last night we read The Night Pirates.” It’s hard to imagine that someone so used to being in the spotlight has such a normal life.

“As a child, when you think of being a superstar someday, you picture it like a dream world,” she tells the mag. “[The Mickey Mouse Cluc] was so exciting! The way people talked and ate and how expensive it was … it was such a huge change for me.”

When it comes to how she feels about her two young sons one day joining the family biz, she has her reservations. ”If there was something  they really wanted to do and were passionate about, I’d encourage them to follow their dreams,” she says. “But I’d also be there behind the curtain saying, ‘No, don’t go out there.’”

Brit’s kids are sure to get the royal treatment from their super star mother, but they don’t know any different. However, Sean, 7, and Jayden, 6, are starting to realize that their mommy may be different than the other mommies.

“They try to figure out where I go when I go to film X Factor. They’re like, ‘Mommy’s going off to be a superhero,’ and then I get back, and they just see me as Mommy,” she laughs. “And then when I’m back working on the show, they say, ‘Oh, Mommy’s a superhero again!’”

UPDATE: Lucky Magazine has apologized from the “unprofessional” cover photo.

I would not have known those pictures were supposed to be Britany if she hadn’t been the subject of the post.. They are terrible! You would think a magazine could afford to hire a professional who could at least do a decent job of touching up a photo.
