Porsha Williams Stewart is the latest Atlanta native to be rumored to be joining the season 5 cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta. A new report claims that Porsha, the grandaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, has officially joined the cast after filming for over a month. She will fill the spot of Sheree Whitfield who left/got fired following last season.
Although nothing has been officially confirmed, Straight From The A claims that Porsha has filmed several events with the ladies including Cynthia Bailey’s P.T. Rose Moscato launch. The site also reports that the opening credits for the show have been shot — including Porsha’s scene.
Porsha grew up in Atlanta and currently resides in Buckhead, a suburb of Atlanta. Church played a major part in her upbringing and now that she’s grown, she has made it a point to give back to the community with the Hosea Feed The Hungry (which her alleged co-star Kandi Burruss recently helped her with) and, as Straight From The A reveals, she has even opened several Child Development Centers in Atlanta.
Porsha is currently married to former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst, Cordell Stewart. The Stewarts’ extravagant wedding was featured in a local wedding magazine in Atlanta.
There have been several rumored new Jawja ‘Wives including Keisha Knight Pulliam, Nicole Porche, Jamilah Rouse, and Toya Wright, but supposedly none of them had the “it” factor that producers saw in Porsha. Kenya Moore reportedly also has what producers are looking for and will also join in on the season 5 fun.
One person who we won’t be seeing much of is last season’s “friend of the Housewives,” Marlo Hampton. Marlo was on several episodes and went with the ladies to South Africa. Marlo definitely stirred the pot, so it’s a bit surprising to hear of her limited role on the upcoming season.
Kim Zolciak will also have a limited role because of the upcoming birth of her son. Kim is due at the end of this month, so when the show airs, her role will taper off as the season progresses.
