Reality showdown: Real Housewives of Miami’s Joanna Krupa protests the Kardashians’ DASH flagship store

Katie Cleary and Joanna Krupa leading a Care2 protest at DASH in Calabasas

Reality shows collided in Calabasas, California Monday when reported new Real Housewives of Miami cast member (and PETA activist) Joanna Krupa joined up with fellow model Katie Cleary to lead a protest at the Kardashians’ flagship DASH store location. The two were working with social activism site Care 2 to present a petition with more than 140,000 signatures asking that the celeb fashionistas stop selling furs in their stores.

“One of the most influential families in the entertainment industry that could help give animals a voice on a large scale are the Kardashians,” Krupa said in a statement to RadarOnline.com. “As a fashion-forward family with their clothing line in stores all over the US, they have the power to influence millions of people around the world.”

In addition to the petition, Krupa was holding a sign that read:

Keep Up Kardashians
Fur is cruel not cool
Katie Cleary, Joanna Krupa & 140,000 Care2 members ask that you honor your promise to never sell fur.

The protest seemed extremely well-timed as it came right on the heels of the infamous flour bombing of Kim Kardashian by award-winning PETA activist Christina Cho. (Although PETA has denied having any knowledge of the flour bombing incident, their connection to Cho – which not only includes giving her an award for her activism in 2010 but also employing her older sister – led to Kim and Khloe releasing rather scathing statements distancing themselves from organization and their “bullying” tactics.)

There didn’t appear to be any television cameras present at the event, so I’m guessing Bravo has no plans to include the protest in the upcoming second season of The Real Housewives of Miami. That’s a shame because a feud with the Kardashians could be exactly what the doctor ordered for the struggling (and revamped) Miami franchise! (Mama Elsa needs some help y’all!)

Johanna is pathetic by trying to create controversy over the biggest names in Reality…….the Smiths. That store doesn’t sell fur, they sell Sweat Shop low dollar merchandise certainly not real fur. Create another Controversy sad little Ho’re.

I was in the Dash store when the 2 models arrived to PETA protest that fur was being sold there. Quite the contrary, there was absolutely no fur anywhere in site in Dash. I was witness to all that went on. I came out of the store with my 2 service dogs and told off the 2 made up, coiffed, and wardrobe-clad beauties the only fur had in that store was the fur on the backs of my two poochies. They went on to blast me saying Dash set me up to be there at that opportune time, in which I responded had I been set up, I would have chosen to wear some lovely Dash clothing, had my hair & makeup done and put on my stiletto heels instead of the Costco top and Ross sweats I was donning! I’m in the entertainment business, ladies, not hard to figure out they needed 3 hours in wardrobe, makeup and hair to look like the beauty queens/damsels in distress…how quaint that they chose to hold their fake banners, with their fake identities and fake banners screaming false accusations at Dash. Why, they should have gone to the next door deli serving beef, chicken, pork, etc. instead of chanting outside Dash’s doors…but, then again, who would have bothered checking them out for their next possible reality tv show??!! Really, what a sham! Shame on You for exploiting the Kardashians for your own benefit…too bad no one signed you up for some gig …anywhere!
