The Today Show‘s Hoda Kotb is in love! On tonight’s Bethenny Ever After, she gushes to buddy Bethenny that it’s the Real Thing with this new man, and she literally couldn’t stop smiling.
Who’s Hoda’s lucky beau?
Her new man is attorney Jay Blumenkopf, who represents corporations and insurance companies in trials about employee benefits claims and bad faith insurance claims. He lectures often, and has been an staff at New York Law School, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Hofstra Law School Trial Techniques Program.
Jay even had his national television debut last August when Hoda’s friends at The Today Show brought him out to surprise Hoda on her 47th birthday. He seemed like a sweet guy who was genuinely happy to see Hoda, and co-host Kathie Lee claimed that he teared up. She also told Hoda that she knew it was for real when Hoda told Kathie Lee that she’d never had a man look at her the way Jay looked at her.
He said he was looking forward to 47 more years with Hoda! So sweet!

Hoda is SOO head-over-heels for this guy. She Bethenny Frankel (who she credits with them getting together):
“It’s the real thing. It’s the real friggin’ thing Bethenny. It’s the real thing. I found the real thing at 47. The other thing was so not the real thing, and I thought it was . . . . The fact that you can still feel butterflies at 47 is really cool.”
Hoda even said she was inspired to learn how to cook for Jay. Bethenny thought this was odd because “every day you do a cooking segment.”
Hoda: “I know, but I don’t listen. You know how they are.”
LOL! So happy for Hoda. It looks like she’s really got something special with Jay.
