Wrestling legend Chyna dead at 45
Pro wrestling pioneer Joan Laurer, known to her fans as Chyna, has passed away at the age of 45.
Redondo Beach Police confirmed that Laurer was found dead in her apartment Wednesday. The authorities were notified by a friend who went to check on her and found her unresponsive.

It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her
Laurer was the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble and is labeled as the “most dominant female competitor of all time” by WWE.
Laurer went on to appear in adult films and reality TV shows including The Surreal Life, and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
The cause of death is under investigation but authorities say there are no signs of foul play.
