Warner Brothers has just released these character banners for the much-anticipated movie Where the Wild Things Are, including Max, KW, Judith and Carol. How cool are these? It’s like The Dark Crystal with a huge budget!

The film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak classic is directed by Spike Jonze and features an all-star cast that includes Catherine Keener, Benicio Del Toro, Forest Whitaker, Lauren Ambrose, Catherine O’Hara, Tom Noonan, Michael Berry and James Gandolfini. The scheduled release date is October 16, 2009.
