MTV is keepin’ that Teen Mom drama train a-rollin’! Fresh on the heels of the Teen Mom 2 gals (and grandparents) wrapping up their season (and spin-off specials), MTV has finally released the preview trailer for the new season of Teen Mom OG premiering August 22!
The video begins with the words LOVE FEAR JOY TRUST DENIAL ANGER ENVY LOVE in all caps, and that seems to sum up the rest of the clip pretty damn well! In summary, Maci Bookout finds out she is pregnant, Catelynn Lowell struggles with depression, Amber Portwood has a hard time with Matt Baier’s army of exes (and mothers of his children) all saying the exact same bad things about Matt, Gary Shirley has a hard time with Matt Baier’s army of exes (and mothers of his children) all saying the exact same bad things about Matt, and Farrah Abraham struggles to make her relationship work with Simon Saran.
Interestingly, MTV is trying out a new time slot for the show, airing it an hour earlier than its usual 10/9c slot. The network often uses the popular series as a lead-in for new shows or shows it wants to get exposure for, so I’m guessing they made the time slot move to accommodate a show at 10/9c. Of course, MTV has kind of gotten a little crazy with all the Teen Mom after show specials and whatnot, so it could just be that those will be more of a permanent thing this season? Perhaps there might even be a live show afterward similar to Chatfish? We will just have to wait and see!
Teen Mom OG Season 6 premieres Monday, August 22 at 9/8c on MTV.
