She also tried to make up for it by performing live during the actual event on Wednesday. Except the attempt (read: her voice) fell flat. The video is also worth watching because of how strange it is to see the kids dancing without the accompanying music.
Mariah’s performance of “All I Want For Christmas” starts off fine enough, but she struggles with the high notes that were once her claim to fame. Of course, Mariah still fares better than most of us — but it just doesn’t compare to her original rendition from 20 years ago.
