Spike is bringing back Ink Master Season 8 winner Ryan Ashley Malarkey for a 10-episode spinoff called Ink Master: Angels.
Along with Ryan, Season 8 competitors Kelly Doty, Nikki Simpson and Gia Rose will hit the road to battle one on one with some of the country’s best tattoo artists. Whoever can beat the angels and take the crown will punch their ticket for a spot in the 10th season of Ink Master.
Chachi Senior, senior vice president of alternative programming and development for Spike, said, “As the ‘Ink Master’ franchise continues to grow, we are thrilled to work with Ryan Ashley, Kelly Doty, Nikki Simpson and Gia Rose on Ink Master: Angels. The fan-favorite females of Season 8 will add a new voice to the franchise and help us discover the best artists around the country.”
Ryan, who hails from Kingston, Pennsylvania, was excited to share the good news as she tweeted, “SURPRISE! The cat’s out of the bag! I couldn’t feel any more thrilled, honored and lucky.”
Speaking of Ink Master, the 9th season of Spike’s hit show premieres tonight at 10/9c.
