REPORT Chief Keef names son to promote new album and record label

Chief Kief baby son Sno Cozart

Rapper Chief Keef announced he is a dad Monday night by posting two photos of his baby son on Instagram and writing “The White Sosa” on one, in reference to his own nickname of Sosa. On the second photo, Chief Keef (real name Keith Cozart) revealed that the little bundle of joy’s name is Sno Cozart. Keef reportedly chose the name Sno to promote a new album coming out soon, which sparked a debate over whether it is OK to name a child for marketing purposes. Then, the rest of Sno’s name was revealed!

Chief Kief's son Sno Cozart

According to DNAinfo, Chief Keef’s son’s full name is Sno Filmon Dot Com Cozart. As you probably surmised, FilmOn.com is the website of Keef’s record label.

A spokesman for the label issued a statement confirming the name choice. “[FilmOn boss] Alki David has announced that Chief Keef and his newest baby mama have agreed to name the newborn Sno FilmOn Dot Com Cozart in order to promote the release of Sosa’s double album Bang 3 with FilmOn Music and MondoTunes on September 18,” rep Owen Phillips said.

The name choice has yet to be confirmed by Keef himself or with any sort of legal documentation, so there is some speculation that the marketing ploy name is itself a marketing ploy. That theory seems to be supported by the fact that Keef was denying paternity as recently as yesterday. According to TMZ, a Kentucky woman had filed to receive child support for the baby, which is now two months old. So how in the world would Keef have been able to choose the boy’s name if he’s not even admitting to being his father?
