Post-split from Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr talks about finding happiness

Miranda Kerr - Post Split from Orlando Bloom

Miranda Kerr, the soon-to-be former Mrs. Bloom, opened up to the December 2013 edition of Self Magazine about finding happiness.

“Everyone has challenges,” Miranda said without directly referencing her separation from Orlando. “But if you know your strengths and expand on them, you’re going to radiate.”

After three years of marriage, Miranda and Orlando shocked many by announcing their separation in October. Before that point, the pair was often seen out and about with their adorable son, Flynn.

Indeed, it seems the split has gone smoothly as possible. Orlando recently told Katie Couric that he and Miranda are committed co-parents and will continue to be “a family.”

Miranda also seems happy with the new arrangement — although she’s more subtle with addressing it.

“You can wake up and say, ‘Oh, I can’t believe it’s so cold,’ or you can say, ‘Oh, wow, this is a great opportunity for me to try out my new sweater.’ No one can be consistently positive, but why not make the choice that makes you feel better rather than the one that drags you down?”

If and when she does feel down, Miranda explained there’s a simple cure: She literally jumps for joy.

“After a minute, I feel better, and after a few minutes, I’m really happy. Everything else just drops off. It gets me out of my head and into my body, and it makes me feel present.”
