Perhaps an even greater confluence of superstars than Marvel’s heralded super-hero all-star super-flick The Avengers is the comedy Bridesmaids which brings together director and producer powerhouses Paul Feig and Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Freaks and Geeks, Superbad, The Office, Anchorman, Arrested Development…) with an all female cast that includes Rose Byrne (Damages), Maya Rudolph (SNL, Away We Go), Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly), Kristen Wiig (SNL), Ellie Kemper (The Office) and Wendi McLendon-Covey (Ummmmm).
Today we got our first official look at the cast in their atrocious attire from the film in a great movie poster featuring five of the actresses as not-so-pretty-in-pink bridesmaids and Maya Rudolph as a rather flustered looking bride.

The movie stars Kristen Wiig as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony. Can Annie keep her personal issues at bay while she tries to plan the perfect wedding? We’ll soon find out.
Bridesmaids is set to be released May 13, 2011.
