Olivia Munn uses hilarious text with mom to address Aaron Rodgers engagement rumors
With a discount double check assist from her curious mom, actress Olivia Munn has shot down rumors that she is engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
OK! published one of those “sources close to the star” stories claiming that Rodgers had popped the question. Munn is currently out doing pressers for her new film, Ride Along 2, and knew she would get asked about this topic ad nauseum.
It turns out Olivia’s mom, Kim Schmid, caught wind of the rumor and texted her daughter about it. Munn used this as a perfect tool to end the rumors:
Munn explained:
Answering yes or no to personal questions can be tricky because if you say “No” it means whenever you say “No comment” that kind of becomes your default “Yes”. But since I’m doing press for the next few days, I didn’t want to have to answer the same question over and over. So instead, I’m going to let my text conversation with my Asian mom help me out.
Awkward mom texts are funny enough–but, when you toss in some lost in translation “I bet chance happy”? Well, that’s just hilarious.
