13-year-old actor Nolan Gould is on one of the most successful shows currently on television, and while many in his position would let their schoolwork suffer, Nolan has done the exact opposite. The Modern Family actor has stepped up his game and put his education in high gear and you’ll never believe how much progress he has made.

Nolan, who plays Luke Dunphy on the show, recently visited The Ellen Show where he dished on his education endeavors, which include graduating from high school at just 13 years old.

“Over the summer, I did a lot of studying and I took an exam and tested out of high school,” Nolan revealed Ellen Degeneres. “So I’m hopefully going to go on and do some online community college courses.” Nolan has an IQ of 150 and is a member of Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world! What a smarty pants!

Nolan has accomplished plenty in his acting career as well. He’s already won several Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award and during a trip to the Emmys, Nolan realized something. “As I was driving in my limo, I’m like, ‘I’m thirteen, this is my third time at the Emmys .. like what am I supposed to do with the rest of my life?’ It’s all downhill from now!”

Let’s hope not! Between Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, the internet is already flooded with “troubled child Actor” stories!

In addition to his acting career and education, Nolan recently learned how to play the banjo. Is there anything this kid can’t do?! Check out his performance in the clip below:
