Unlike her cousins, A Duggar Leaves Home‘s Amy Duggar kissed a lot of frogs before finding her Prince Charming. But, now that she’s engaged to Dillon King, she’s planning to adhere to at least one Duggar rule.
“We’re going to wait for marriage,” Amy, 28, told Radar Online. However, she suggested that may not have been her policy all along: “I have made mistakes in the past, but I can tell you that is something we are waiting on.”
Amy said limiting the physical aspect of their relationship “is hard,” so it helps that her fiancé is on the same page.
“He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he’s loyal, he’s patient, he’s my best friend,” she said on Instagram after Dillon proposed earlier this week. “Of course I said yes!”
Amy didn’t disclose any details about when she is going to get married, but said she has one solid plan in place:
“I don’t plan on getting pregnant right after marriage,” said Amy, whose three married cousins conceived within months of tying the knot. “I want to travel and enjoy not waking up in the middle of the night with a baby.”
