Macaulay Culkin responds to death hoax with a Weekend at Bernie’s parody

This weekend Macaulay Culkin was the latest celeb to experience an internet death hoax, and the Pizza Underground frontman was not one to miss a great opportunity.

He staged a photo recreating a scene from 1989’s Weekend at Bernie‘s a film with a plot that revolves around two employees desperately trying to make it seem like their dead boss Bernie is still alive.

The rumors started Saturday, and when Macaulay appeared onstage that night at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest, he began the show with two words: “I’m alive!”

He also posted this to Twitter Saturday, the ultimate proof that the 34-year-old former child actor is still going strong:
