Kyle Richards discusses keeping one-time affair secret, sister’s rehab

Beverly Hills Housewife Kyle Richards is out promoting her new book, “Life Is Not a Reality Show” which has raised some eyebrows based on a specific bit of advice she’s provided to married couples.

She wrote:

“If you cheat once don’t tell. You get a free pass.”

Of course there are legions of peeps out there who don’t necessarily roll with the Curb Your Enthusiasm one-time affair is okilly dokilly approach. The outspoken mother of four appeared on Good Morning America and spoke with Robyn Roberts about her advice. Here’s the clip (the portion about her advice comes in at around the 4:30 mark):

Here was Kyle’s defense of the controversial position. She makes sure to note it’s not her she’s talking about, especially with her handsome hubby Mauricio in the studio at the time.

“I’ve seen circumstances with people that I know are in love with their spouse and they made one mistake and I said — this is somebody that I know, nobody that anybody knows here, ‘Listen, if this really was a one time mistake, and you did not put this person in jeopardy,’ I personally think you should deal with it with yourself and with God and not go and say: ‘Honey look what I did,’ because I knew that this would ruin their relationship and their life. And I can tell you that many, many, many years later they’re happy and together and she did make that mistake and she has to carry that and live with that.”

In addition, Robyn asked Kyle about her sister and fellow Housewife Kim Richards who is currently in rehab. Kyle stated that she had recently visited Kim and that her sister is, “doing really, really well and getting stronger every day.” This backs up a statement she made recently to Us Weekly.

That is good news about Kim but I have to ask. What do you think about Kyle’s advice of keeping a one-time affair in the closet?
