Who is Julianne Moore’s husband, Bart Freundlich?
With five nominations under her belt, many are betting that tonight will finally be Julianne Moore’s time to bring home an Academy Award. If she wins, expect to hear her thank her husband of 10+ years.
So, just who is Julianne’s husband, Bart Freundlich? He is also in the entertainment industry, just on the other side of the camera: His directing credits date back to the 1990s for some shorts and TV movies. By the 2000s, he was working more regularly in feature-length films and TV.

Julianne and Bart actually met when he directed her in 1996’s The Myth of Fingerprints. She has since appeared in the majority of his works. Perhaps their best-known collaboration is on 2005’s Trust the Man, which he wrote and directed.
The pair had a son, Caleb, in 1997 and a daughter, Liv, in 2002. They wed in 2003 — and seem to be going super strong 10+ years later. (We all know that’s a major feat for Hollywood couples!)

“I never, ever, ever in my life imagined that making [The Myth of Fingerprints] would give me the personal life that I always dreamed of,” Julianne said at a Museum of the Moving Image ceremony in January. “My family makes me most happy. It would be miserable without them.”
