If most married actors or actresses participate in a raunchy scene in a movie, their spouses can just shut their eyes until the moment passes. But, that strategy probably won’t fly in Fifty Shades of Grey. So, will Jamie Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, see the film?
“She doesn’t want to watch this. She wants to support me and my work,” Jamie told USA Today. “I am not going to put any pressure on her either way. It’s her decision. She’s well aware that it’s pretend, but it’s probably not that comfortable to watch.”
Amelia likely has a good attitude about the film because she is also in the entertainment business: The 32-year-old Brit has been acting in films and releases music as Slow Moving Millie.
She also knows a thing or two about dating high-profile actors from her relationship with Colin Farrell in the early 2000s. They were even believed to be married, but she later clarified they only had an informal ceremony on a beach in Tahiti.
Jamie and Amelia married in April 2013 and welcomed a daughter, Dulcie, in November of that year.
As for what it’s like to watch his love scenes with Dakota Johnson, Jamie said it isn’t exactly the most enjoyable experience for him, either.
“I won’t be able to sit there myself,” he said. “There’s quite a long shot of my (butt). I wasn’t hugely comfortable with it when I watched it. That’s my bum. Still my bum. Wow.”
Fifty Shades of Grey premieres nationwide on Friday.
