James and Kimberly Van Der Beek welcomed their son to the world yesterday the actor announced on Twitter.
The 35-year-old actor wrote:
“Had my first son this morning… well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain. If you could bottle up and distribute this feeling, I swear there’d be no more war. #fatherhood”
The new family member joins 17-month-old big sis Olivia. Momma Beek later tweeted her joy after recovering from that whole giving birth thing:
“Had such a blessed and miraculous birth experience. Cannot wait to share it with all of you! Thank you for all the love and good wishes. I can feel it all. xo”
The Van Der Beeks were married back in August of 2010 and announced that they were expecting their 2nd child back in October. James is most recognized for his role as Dawson Leery in the WB series Dawson’s Creek. His latest TV project, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23, premieres April, 11th on ABC.
Congrats to the family on their newest addition (not sure of the name yet). You know, I wonder how his older sis is gonna feel about all the new attention this boy’s gonna get?
