Former Glee star Mark Salling to surrender in child pornography case
Mark Salling, best known for his role as Noah “Puck” Puckerman on FOX’s hit musical series Glee, is set to turn himself into authorities today.
In December, federal authorities seized a laptop, hard drive and flash drive from the 33-year-old actor; they say the drives contained videos and images that depicted child pornography. Salling was charged with one count of using the Internet to obtain a pornographic still image and video of young girls, and a second count of possessing two other porn videos featuring underage girls.
A grand jury indicted Salling last week, and, on Tuesday, he was fired from his upcoming miniseries Gods and Secrets.
In March of 2015, Salling paid former girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela $2.7 million in a settlement after she accused him of sexual assault. According to the terms of their settlement, Salling was only guilty of negligence.
Salling was photographed yesterday leaving the bank with a $100,000 check made out to the Clerk of the U.S. District Court.
