Last week’s premiere episode of American Horror Story: Apocalypse introduced a creepily interesting returning character at the tail-end of the story. Michael Langdon, who was last seen as a murderous three-year-old in the anthology series’ very first season “Murder House,” is now all grown up and part of the mysterious Cooperative group that’s keeping this post-apocalyptic world going. There’s even a gnawing suspicion that this powerful group initiated the nuclear destruction that ended most of the world.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse Season 8 premieres tonight and it’s a bit of a game changer. Not only does the season tie all the previous seasons together but it resets the entire world they’re working with by (almost) ending it. In an apocalyptic disaster there is always the chance that some survivors will be left behind to rebuild the world. Now that the first episode is here, we finally know how the world ends “18 months from today.” The question is what happens after the end of the world as we know it?
