Carrie Fisher high on cocaine filming ‘Empire’
Now we know how Princess Leia helped lead a tiny rebellion against the forces of the dark side while hooking up with Han Solo. She was straight up high out of her mind on cocaine!
Carrie Fisher, the actress who portrayed the princess with the donut hair do admitted to using cocaine during the filming of the Star Wars classic The Empire Strikes Back. She told the Australian news wire AAP this juicy bit of info while prepping up for her one woman stand-up show “Wishful Drinking.”
She told the publication that:
“We did cocaine on the set of ‘Empire’, in the ice planet. I didn’t even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high.”
Just a hunch but I bet ‘Ice Planet’ will become the new street name for cocaine in the next few months. Fisher’s family was recently in the news as her famous crooning father Eddie Fisher passed away. Eddie left Carrie’s mother Debbie Reynolds when she was just two for another actress you may have heard of, Elizabeth Taylor.
Despite the break up of her parents and her crazy lifestyle after being thrust into the spotlight she blames herself for her addictions stating:
“It’s always been my responsibility. If it was Hollywood (to blame), then we’d all be dope addicts.”
In addition I was able to round up the following brief interview from the Australian network Ten as she discusses her show and that infamous metal bikini. And yes, maybe I was looking for some excuse to post this:
Carrie will forever be in my top ten bikini babes list for that. Anyways here is the video clip:
“If I’d known that by dawning the metal bikini when I was 23 that I was signing an invisible contract to stay looking the exact same way for the next 30 to 40 years I wouldn’t have done it.” – Carrie Fisher
Now wait a second Fisher. I got no problem if you went all 80’s and did a few lines while hangin’ with Chewbacca and C3PO but to even suggest that there would be a world without you in that Jabba slave skin-suit is unacceptable and deeply offensive! I understand it can be hard to live in your own shadow but be proud of your past accomplishments girl.
