Bethenny Frankel reacts to talk show cancellation in open post — and it’s a bit surprising

Bethenny Frankel - Talk Show Cancelled

Bethenny Frankel has a surprising reaction to the news her talk show, Bethenny, is cancelled after just one season: relief.

The SkinnyGirl mogul said in an open post, “I need a rest from the grind. I’m a little over myself and wouldn’t blame anyone else for being over me as well.”

The talk show, which will air through May, didn’t earn good ratings. Many critics said the former Real Housewives of New York fan-favorite failed to connect with would-be viewers. In her post, Bethenny seemed to agree, saying she “felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted” on air.

“I am more comfortable in my natural surroundings and in a setting where I’m surrounded by crazy, where anything goes and where I can be authentically me,” she added. “I always said that it could only work if I was true to myself and only if it was genuinely a good fit and marriage which it turned out not to be.”

When the show concludes, Bethenny said she plans to do more yoga, write, work on SkinnyGirl and spend time with her daughter.
