Lily Allen has miscarried her baby with boyfriend Sam Cooper after six months of pregnancy, her publicist Murray Chalmers confirms. The couple wants privacy during this “deeply distressing time.”
This is the second miscarriage Allen has suffered, the first was nearly three years ago in January 2008. In 2009, she opened up about the emotional toll the miscarriage took on her to Grazia Daily (via Spin):
“I just didn’t deal with it at all. I didn’t even start beginning to deal with it until the baby’s due date. Then it just hit me like a house collapsing. The week before the due date, all I wanted to do was talk about my baby but I also felt I shouldn’t. I was working non-stop and I had all this inside my head.”
