Anna Johnston arrested for DUI, boyfriend Jeffrey Meservey arrested for forgery
7 Little Johnstons star Anna Johnston was arrested for DUI over the weekend. She shared a ride to jail with her boyfriend, Jeffrey Meservey, who was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
According to jail records, 26-year-old Anna was booked into the Houston County Jail on October 10. She was released the next day after posting a $1,563 surety bond.
Anna’s 44-year-old boyfriend Jeffrey was arrested at the same time, but he was not able to bond out. (More on his arrest below.)
@brittany_tufftopic on TikTok was the first to report on Anna’s arrest, and The Ashley followed up with Anna’s mug shots photos and additional details.
According to the arrest report obtained by The Ashley, Anna was driving a car that was pulled over on the side of the road. Police observed the pulled over car and also saw Jeffrey standing in the rain talking on his phone.
Police spoke with Jeffrey, Anna, and Anna’s cousin — who was a passenger in the car. Jeffrey told police he insisted that Anna pull over and let him out because he was “upset due to Anna driving them around with alcohol in her system.” He stated he was on the phone trying to find someone to come and pick them up.
Anna’s cousin confirmed to police that Anna had consumed a shot of alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.
However, Anna claimed that she hadn’t been drinking and that she and Jeffrey were simply arguing over directions.
The cops noticed multiple indications that Anna had been drinking, including slurred speech, smelling of alcohol, and “she was slightly unsteady on her feet.”
Officers administered field sobriety tests, and Anna exhibited signs of intoxication. A preliminary breath test was given and it indicated Anna had a BAC of 0.139%, which is well above the 0.08% legal limit in Georgia.
Anna was arrested and booked.
JEFFREY MESERVEY ARREST DETAILS
Police asked Anna’s boyfriend Jeffrey for his ID, and it revealed an outstanding warrant from another county. As a result, Jeffrey was also booked into the Houston County Jail on October 10.
Jeffrey was later transferred to the Bibb County Jail. According to jail records, Jeffrey is currently still in custody facing 13 forgery charges. His bond amount is listed as $47,350.
The arrest over the weekend wasn’t the first for Jeffrey. All of Jeffrey’s mug shot photos above are from prior arrests over the past 12 months.
