Amazon announces extensive list of Prime Day deals for commerce-stravaganza
Prime Day, Amazon.com’s 20th birthday commerce-fest, offers more deals than you can shake a washer-dryer combo at. The biggest online retailer in the world announced Prime Day a couple of weeks back, and promised a slew of Prime Day deals–”It’ll be bigger than Black Friday,” we were told, at the time.
Well, now the day is here. You can judge for yourself whether the celebration is bigger (and better) than the annual post-Thanksgiving binge; if nothing else, it’s available in more countries. They’re coming fast and furious over at the online retailer; here’s a list of the Prime Day deals you can expect to see:

In addition, Amazon’s offering a series of Lightning Deals, of which a fixed number of each are available. Once they’re claimed, they’re gone. The Lightning Deals contrast with the list above, which is comprised of All-Day Deals, and will not end abruptly…until the clock strikes twelve.
You’ve got to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of Amazon Prime deals, but the company is offering a free 30-day trial of Prime, in order to induce membership. So, if you feel like snagging a few things, getting free shipping, and then canceling your membership, you might give this whole deal a whirl.
It’s probably also worth pointing out that Wal-Mart, eager to cut in on some of the midsummer action, is offering its own series of eye-widening deals, to better compete with Amazon.
