Aaron Carter tweets about his undying love for Hilary Duff, vows to get her back
We now have an idea of what life would have been like if Twitter was around in the early 2000s: Aaron Carter just used the social media platform to declare his undying love for Hilary Duff.
Aaron and Hilary dated more than one decade ago before he “got a little bored” and started seeing Lindsay Lohan. He explained the situation during an episode of The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch in 2005, saying, “I started dating Hilary on my 13th birthday. I was dating her for like a year-and-a-half and then I just got a little bored so I went and I started getting to know Lindsay, dating Lindsay.”
Fast-forward to March 2014: Aaron — who’s since fallen on hard times — began with an innocent retweet of picture.

That stirred up some emotions, prompting him to wax poetic on love lost…
Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever..
Like me…

I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her.
I don't care what ANY of you think.

After the second tweet, someone asked for clarification…
@closch3 sure am.

Hilary, who recently separated from husband Mike Comrie, hasn’t responded yet — and I’m not holding my breath that she ever will. Still, it’s highly enjoyable to reflect on one of the biggest teen star dramas from my younger life.
On the topic of nostalgia, here’s the classic scene from Lizzie McGuire where Aaron performed his hit remix of I Want Candy.
