16-year-old forced to marry 3rd cousin in new My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding season
TLC’s My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding is coming back later this month for a fourth season that “explores the unique and ancient traditions that have shaped and defined the Gypsy community for hundreds of years.”
From the network…
This season, with the help of leading Gypsy designer Sondra Celli, the brides walk down the aisle in some of the biggest and bling-tastic dresses to date. Her customized gowns reach new heights this season with one dress weighing in at more than 100 pounds! Even with happily-ever-after endings, it wouldn’t be a Gypsy wedding without a few family head-to-head throwdowns, and this season is no different as the notorious Stanley family weds off one of their own in a wedding no one can forget.
Starting from the premiere episode with a Greek gypsy whose dress causes some serious logistical problems to a later episode where “23-year-old Kody marries his 33-year-old ex-babysitter Danielle,” this season promises to be one of the wildest yet.
Still, I doubt anything will be able to top the drama in the episode featuring 16-year-old Chelsey, who is “forced into a marriage with her third cousin by her controlling mom.” Yikes! How long do you think it will be before TLC attempts Escaping My Arranged Gypsy Marriage?
My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding returns to TLC on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 9/8c.
