On tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer takes a few of the wives (minus Jill, Luann and Jennifer Gilbert) on a yacht trip to St. John’s. Minus a few minor snafus between Bethenny and Kelly, they seem to have a low-key good time.
Bethenny, who has just learned that she’s pregnant, and gone to visit her estranged father before he died, is still a little emotional and even opens up to some of the ladies.
She shares an intimate moment with her new BBF Alex McCord, who offers her nonjudgmental and realistic insight, a rarity on this show. This may be one of, if not the only, Real Housewives conversations caught on camera that comes from a place of true friendship :
Later, after a dinner with seating charts, Kelly is a great deal less sensitive to Bethenny’s emotions, basically telling her to get over the hurt of her father not acknowledging that he missed having his daughter in his life because lots of parents act that way. New housewife Sonja Morgan is shocked at Kelly’s callous evaluation:
