Teresa Giudice to pay a big chunk of Bravo profits to the government

Teresa Giudice Ordered to Pay Govt

The thought of getting hired back by Bravo at the end of her prison term just got a little less sweet for Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice: She agreed to give the federal government one-quarter of her Bravo paycheck.

In addition to the Bravo bucks, NJ.com reports Teresa signed papers last week to give the Feds her 2005 Maserati Quattroporte; half the rental income for a Lincoln Park home she owns; and the rights to sell the furnishings in her Montville Township mansion. Teresa struck the deal to satisfy the $414,588 debt she and husband Joe Giudice owe.

In an April interview with People, Teresa’s lawyer seemed confident that his client will be welcomed back to Bravo upon her release from prison in February 2016.

“Anyone who has watched that show since the very first episode understands that Teresa Giudice is the central figure around which the show revolves,” said attorney James J. Leonard Jr. “That’s not to take anything away from any of the other women, but Teresa has been the focal point for the last six seasons, and I don’t expect that to change moving forward, assuming both sides can agree on a contract.”
