Miss Bumbum winner has surgery to restore virginity

Indianara-Carvalho

Miss Bumbum 2014, Indianara Carvalho, has announced that she underwent “vaginal rejuvenation surgery” in order to “recover” her virginity.

The Brazilian model won the annual contest earlier this year in which a contestant from every state in Brazil competes to determine whose backside is the best in the land.

Carvalho, 22, said she underwent the procedure – called a Hymenoplasty – in hopes of bringing a bit of respect to the Miss Bumbum crown before she takes part in a nude photo shoot to be revealed on Christmas day.

“I wanted to undergo surgery to reconstruct my virginity before I have new photographs done. I wouldn’t feel good about appearing naked if I wasn’t exactly as I came into the world if you know what I mean. I think I also want to give a bit of respect and new concept to the Miss Bumbum title by being a virgin.”

So how does this work? Here’s a description via The Cosmetic Gynecology Center of San Antonio:

Hymen reconstruction surgery, also known as hymen surgery, hymenoplasty surgery or hymen restoration, is the surgical repair of the hymen. Using a surgical technique, the torn edges of the hymen are put back together. If done correctly, to the visible eye, there is no apparent scarring and the hymen appears intact. After this type of hymen surgery and without complication, subsequent intercourse will typically tear the membrane causing pain and bleeding.

There is also a cosmetic procedure “in which a membrane without blood supply is created, sometimes including a gelatine capsule of an artificial blood-like substance.”

Carvalho added that she intends on giving up sex for a while so that she can remain a virgin (again?) until someone special comes along.
