Dating Naked officially has a better success rate in terms of turning matches into marriages than The Bachelor: Ashley and Alika from a recent episode of the VH1 show tied the knot in an appropriately nude ceremony.
On their episode, Ashley, an art therapist from Colorado, and Alika, a sexual healer from California, instantly bonded over their shared abilities to stand on a surfboard. Alika claimed he wasn’t looking for anything serious, but Ashley didn’t get her panties in a bunch (largely because she didn’t have any) and picked him at the end of the show. By that point, he apparently changed his mind and they got engaged a short time later — to the great delight of VH1, which is airing a Dating Naked Wedding Special next month.

Even though Ashley and Alika are the first to exchange wedding vows, VH1 bills Dating Naked as the most successful dating show on television.
“VH1’s Dating Naked began with a bold question as its premise: ‘Do you find love easier when you truly have nothing to hide?’ The answer is a resounding ‘I do!’ as VH1 announces an astounding 60% matchmaking success rate,” the network said in a recent press release, explaining six couples formed out of 10 episodes. (Seems like that only translates to a 30% success rate because each episode has two potential couples. Oh well.)
Of course, the show isn’t without controversy: Besides protestations from parent groups, one contestant is suing for $10 million because film editors failed to blur her bits in one scene.
The first Dating Naked Wedding Special premieres on VH1 on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 9/8c.
