English actor Douglas Booth won’t play Romeo in Taylor Swift’s love story!
According to the New York Daily News, Taylor set her sights on the 21-year-old actor during a November party.
“Taylor kept on making an effort to flirt with Douglas, but he gave her the cold shoulder and was extremely dismissive towards her,” said a source from the event. “She would get a drink and then approach him; she would chat with (Romeo and Juliet co-star) Hailee Steinfeld and then re-approach him; she was even trying to chat him up near the flowers on display. It was all very funny for those of us watching.”
Although the source said Douglas acted “aloof” whenever Taylor approached, the pair has since been spotted on a few dates in London. However, those meetings seemed to confirm the actor’s original suspicions that Taylor wasn’t the right girl for him.
“Doug is a young guy and is enjoying the single life,” said a friend. “He was quite taken aback about how keen Taylor was. She has been in touch with him, but he just wants to be friends.”
