Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes just bought a new “house” located at 42 West 12th Street in Greenwich Village in New York City. The home sold for $15 million and has 8,100 square feet. Here’s a floor plan for the new digs:
Perty sweet! I’m not from New York City so I don’t know a lot about real estate in the Big Apple, but it seems odd to me that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s neighbor has window unit air conditioners. Is that normal? I guess retro-fitting those old buildings with central air would be mighty tricky and expensive.

It looks like both neighbors have window air conditioners. Go ahead New Yorkers, make fun of me! Also, it looks like the Cruise’s neighbor on the right is having some renovations done! Maybe Tom bought the fancy pad to assuage his pain from his recent worst week ever!
