Wynonna Judd’s husband Cactus Moser’s leg amputated after motorcycle crash

Wynonna Judd and her husband Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser went for a motorcycle ride together (but on separate bikes) just prior to Wynonna’s concert in Deadwood, South Dakota on Saturday when Moser collided with an oncoming vehicle. According to initial reports, Moser was transported to a local hospital where he was being treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Now we are finding out that the injuries were really serious and resulted in Cactus Moser having his left leg amputated. Wynonna Judd’s rep tells People Moser’s leg was “severed at the scene” and doctors at a hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota were forced to amputate his leg just above the knee.

Surgeons also operated on Moser’s hand, though no more details are available on that injury at this time. (It should be noted Cactus Moser is a drummer, so obviously even a “minor” hand injury would be major.)

“The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side,” Wynonna Judd said in a statement on Sunday.

Wynonna has reportedly canceled her upcoming conserts in Canada.

Wynonna Judd (48) and Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser (55) were married in June at Wynonna’s farm in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee.
