Singer Austin Mahone cancels tour after being rushed to the hospital
17-year-old teen heartthrob Austin Mahone had to cancel his MTV’s Artist to Watch Tour after he was rushed to the hospital this morning. The tour may have to be postponed until 2014.
Multiple outlets confirmed the singer was hospitalized Thursday morning. Hour before he has complained of suffering from a “bad flu” with a 103 fever, but it’s still unknown exactly what his condition is.
Mahone was super excited for the tour. “MTV has supported me from the very beginning, even before I had a label. They’ve been right there with me and I appreciate that a lot,” Mahone said back in August. “I’m so excited to be headlining my first tour and I can’t think of a better partner than MTV.”
His mother Michele Mahone confirmed that he was ill on his Twitter account, asking for prayers, and apologizing for having to postpone the entire tour.
Hey Mahomies its @michelemahone Austin is very ill. Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone the entire MTV Artist to Watch Tour. Austin is very upset about this & we want to say we are sorry to all the Mahomies & their parents who have made arrangements to come out. We feel very bad but we have no choice but to cancel the tour for now. Thank you for your prayers #PrayforAustin
