Elisabeth Hasselbeck's tearful apology to Erin Andrews

Elisabeth Hasselbeck got very emotional on The View today as she apologized for a flippant joke she made at the expense of Dancing With The Stars contest Erin Andrews on a previous show.

Erin, an ESPN reporter, recently saw the peeping Tom who posted nude videos of her shot through hotel peephole on the internet sentenced to six months in prison. The attractive blond has been competing on this season of DWTS, during which she has worn some pretty revealing outfits (which all the contestants wear) and Hasselbeck made a comment on yesterday’s show that her Peeping Tom shouldn’t have bothered with taping Andrews because he could have seen “a little bit less – without the prison time” by watching Dancing with the Stars.

Ouch.

Here is Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s tearful apology from The View:

Erin Andrews spoke to People magazine saying that what Hasselbeck said was “a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators.” She went on to say, “As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.”
