In a preview for today’s Ellen, actress Kaley Cuoco opens about her pending divorce.
The 30-year-old Big Bang Theory star is parting ways from professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting. The pair got engaged in September of 2013 after dating for three months. They got married on December 31 of the same year.
It turns out this is a date Cuoco remembers all too well, as she had it tattooed on her back. While opening up about her divorce, Kaley also showed off her cover-up ink to the audience.
Ellen: You are divorced, or getting divorced?
Cuoco: I’m getting divorced. Last year was very bizarre and we all go through some ups and downs….It’s been rough, but things are going good and I’m much, much better now.
When Ellen asked Kaley how long she was married she acknowledged the awkwardness of it only being a year and a half. “I know, I know. I had the date tattooed on my back and everything to remind me. The tattoo was a mistake. I had to cover it.”
Ellen: How big were the numbers?
Cuoco: They were big. So then I had to cover it with the wings which I think turned out OK.
When Ellen asked if there was any symbolic significance of choosing a moth, Kaley joked, “It was big enough to cover the numbers. It was just what I picked out when I was there.”
