Tamera Mowry-Housley reveals she lost her virginity at age 29
Tamera Mowry-Housley rose to fame in the early 1990s alongside her twin sister Tia in Sister, Sister. In what seems to be a remarkable feat for young celebrities, both girls managed to remain well-adjusted into adulthood. Tamera even revealed this week that she waited to have sex until she was approaching her fourth decade.
“I’m religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity,” Tamera confessed during a radio interview with Hot 97. “You may not understand this (but) I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married.”
Now 35 years old, Tamera wed FOX News correspondent Adam Housley in May 2011 after six years of dating. That math means he’s her one and only.
Despite what some may consider to be limited experiences, Tamera said she knows her way around the bedroom.
“You want to know what’s so funny? They had a sex therapist (on the show) and guess who knew everything?” Tamera said, pointing at herself.
Tamera is currently co-hosting The Real, a new talk show in a trial run on FOX. Similar to The View and The Talk, Tamera will address controversial issues with the other panelists, Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai.
If her blog is any indication, Tamera will address her Christianity on the show. Just last winter she wrote on her blog about how she felt guided in her daily life by her beliefs.
“It’s important we live it to the fullest and not get stuck or preoccupied with the worries, fears or pain. Instead, all we can do is trust in God and live every day He’s given us to the very fullest.”
