Back on June 12 South Carolina couple Jacob Simmons and his fiancee Gentry Lee Sutherland purchased some photos from their area Walmart. The following Wednesday the pair returned home from a church service and saw the above likeness of Jesus staring back up at them from their receipt on the floor.
As you can imagine they were a little taken aback by the apparition so they contacted Walmart and asked what might cause the receipt to transform in such a way. According to management from the store the only thing that could have caused that type of alteration so quickly would have been to add heat to it. The self-described religious couple states they did nothing to alter the document.

Sutherland said:
“We just feel like it’s a blessing that God showed it to us and opened our eyes. And we just feel like we should share the blessing God gave to us to everybody else.”

As they stated, Simmons and Gentry are now just looking to share their blessing with the world in the hopes that it might inspire others as it did them. In addition Simmons is wanting additional tests done on the receipt that might help explain how the likeness came to appear.
